“Surprisingly, we still don’t have any plover nests on the refuge! Department of Conservation & Recreation reported their first nests at Sandy Point a couple of days ago, so hopefully our plovers aren’t far behind. They continue to trickle in, and our current high count is 17 pairs and 12 singles (for a total of 46 adults). Most are scraping vigorously.”
