Photos from September 2021 show ORV access challenges at the  BB1 access trail with over 1 foot of standing water in a sensitive cranberry bog and 100 yards south of where BB1 enters the beach. While the locations pictured above are constantly changing and not always flooded, based on field observations and current research, such conditions will continue to intensify, creating adverse effects on migrating shorebirds, resource damage to the refuge, and safety risks to ORV users.
