Rob will provide an update on the latest observations on how global warming is exacerbating extreme weather events and share information about federal, state and local initiatives to address those impacts. Massachusetts and North Shore communities are evaluating many policies, and the talk will highlight actions that people can take toward effecting positive change.

There is a clear need for bold leadership at the local level, such as New York City’s new carbon-focused initiative announced earlier this month by Mayor de Blasio.
